Alexandro Vera Arroyo will be joined the SDA and AASPI in
the summer of 2020, as he returns to the University of Oklahoma to work on a PhD, after receiving his MS from OU in Spring 2019. Alex is a very accomplished petroleum geoscientist, who has spent several years working for Pemex. During his time at OU, he will take a leading student role in AASPI, investigating the usefulness of various machine learning algorithms, such as GANs, and incorporating them into the AASPI code.
